I have two shows in previews right now. WildClaw Theatre‘s live horror anthology Motel 666 opens this Friday, and my adaptation of Soon I Will Be Invincible opens next Tuesday at Lifeline Theatre. Normally shows at Lifeline open on Mondays, but the Non-Equity Jeff Awards changed their date, so it was easier for us to move ours. Monstrous Regiment (the show I was in last summer) is nominated for Best Production, and we’ve been invited to perform a short scene. I’ve attended the Jeffs a couple times. This will be my first time participating. It will be fun to revisit that show one more time.

Rehearsals and script rewrites have occupied my life for the last several weeks. I also submitted a new script to Lifeline that I hope is good enough to be produced soon. Once Soon I Will Be Invincible opens, however, I have a bit of a theatre break. I’ve got some organizational stuff to do to prepare for Midnight Cowboy, which I’m directing next winter, but otherwise, Mandy and I have elaborate plans to take it easy this summer. We might actually take a weekend and go out of town. I can barely imagine what that would be like.

There is some more exciting stuff in the works, but I’ll have to save that until the press release goes out.
