I got several pages done on the second draft of a new play I’m working on. Today’s productivity was brought to you by Freedom, which might be the best ten bucks I’ve ever spent. I just tell it how long I want to work, and it disconnects me from the Internet until the timer runs out. Brilliant. I can’t believe it took me so long to try it. Between the lure of Facebook and the temptation to stop and “research” every little thought that comes into my head instead of just writing it, it’s a wonder I ever finished anything I ever started.
I might have gotten more done, but right after I set the timer, my cat Zoe coughed up the BIGGEST HAIRBALL EVER. It deserves a name. If you think of a good one, let me know.
(It was this one. I think she’s feeling better now.)
